Waves

&

Mountains

Two types of love.

I was born and raised on a farm in Namibia.

It is not without reason that I was called “Meine kleine Wilde” (my little wild one) by my family, as I spent most of my time outside, running on mountains, falling, scratching my knees and living a wild and fulfilled childhood.

To this day I consider the Erongo Mountains where I grew up the most precious place on this Earth and I rejuvenate whenever I return.

Growing up in a German-speaking household and amongst the bushmen, I was fluent in those two languages. It is only in school that I learned English and Afrikaans.

In 2018 I moved to Ireland where I studied journalism and also worked for The Farmer’s Journal in Dublin.

Authentic

I am happiest when I am outside, whether I am jumping into salty waves, walking through nature (the wilder and less civilised the better) or exploring new countries.

And while doing so, you can always find me, with a notebook and a pen, jotting down thoughts and feelings and hear the “click” sound of my camera, as I try to document life as it unfolds around me.

This is where I feel most myself; most authentic and most in tune with life.

A platform

As a person prone to sentiment, you will not only find my travel tale blog posts, but also stumble across my contemplations, my artistic expressions or matters close to my heart.

And as we navigate through this thing called life, I would love to hear from you too.

Whether you have a cool travel tip, a question, a remark, or simply want to chat, my inbox is always open.
